ANDYconrad: boring BIO

Born. Got The Beatles 20 Mostest Bestest as a birthday gift in 6th grade…

It all began many moons ago. I squirreled away some coin from horrible odds jobs and manual labor and bought a south of the border Stratocaster guitar (the Mexican-made ones are cheaper).

I am left-handed and arrived at the guitar shop wanting a left-handed guitar. The wheelchair-rolling owner advised me to play a right-handed “gee-tar,” because I would be able to "shred with [my] powerful left hand.” So I did…

Riding home triumphantly on my 10-speed bike, with the guitar neck sticking out of the top of my backpack, the world seemed a little brighter.

Over the years, I taught myself to do what needed to be done: plucking, hitting, tickling, producing, recording, mixing. All musical tasks typically take place in my musty old basement, after all people and animals are fast asleep.

Some of the music features the talents of Matt Hickenbotham's drumming. And, Jon Armstrong's mixing talents are on a lot of tracks, plus some of his bass and guitar-playing delights can be heard on a handful of numbers.
